Description: Students will use acrylic paint
working with the physical aspects of the medium
and will focus on the emotions throughout the process.

Basic Drawing

Dates: Six Tuesdays-April 6, 13, 20, 27 AND May 4, 11

(students will bring their own unlined paper, pencil and an eraser)

Description: Students will learn the basics of drawing:
what you see, shading techniques, composition, and perspective
(how to draw objects in space that look realistic), and design.
The students will draw with pencil, but what is learned will apply for
painting and other media as well.

Description: Students will learn a variety of approaches to
painting on silk. Each participant will create a silk painting in a shape
and size appropriate to their design.

Beginning Watercolor

Cost: $65 per student payable to the instructor
Student to provide own supplies-List is available from the instructor.

Description: Learn basic skills to take advantage of the beautiful effects and luminous washes only possible with watercolor. A few simple techniques will help the student create dramatic results using a proper balance of water and color. Students will receive individual step-by-step guidance in a relaxed atmosphere to create a beautiful watercolor painting in four lessons. Perfect for beginning students or artists without watercolor experience.

Description: Participants will construct their own jewelry designs in copper
(or silver for an additional material fee) while learning basic
metalworking techniques of sawing, drilling, filing, shaping, and polishing.
