Bristol artists Joyce Kistner and Sherre Sullivan will present an exhibit featuring their many different media and techniques. Joyce says her compositions tell a a "real story or fantasy." Her framed work and painted furniture pieces will be exhibited. Sherre is a freelance artist, designer and Bristol native. Her personal artwork is primarily in pastels and charcoals. With a style that is a "mixture of perceived and imagined imagery presented in an expressive manner." Co- Sponsored by Highlands Union Bank.
Nina Rizzo

Nina learned many of the alternative photographic processes that she employs in her work while studying at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. Her images are produced with a variety of film, paper, and processing techniques, including Image transfer and metalchrome. Nina's use of the paper negative, one of the earliest photographic processes, allows her "create additional elements in the images."
Pat Lehmkuhl
April 18- June 5
Reception Sunday, April 18, 2-4 p.m.
Pat currently resides in Rural Retreat, Virginia but grew up on a farm in Ohio. In her language of paint, she hopes to communicate her "love of the land, man's toll and animal husbandry." Pat, who began drawing as a child now works mostly in oil on canvas. She describes her work as a "soft, realistic way to express the special joy felt by a certain light, or a fleeting moment."

Robert Carter

Frieda Post of Blacksburg works in watermedia and mixed media. Her paintings
reflect her love of the outdoors and the beauty of the area. The patterns and
shapes seen in nature are interpreted both realistically and abstractive.
Robert Carter of Richmond is the winner of the Starving Artist Cafe and Depot
Artists Association Award in the 2003 Virginia State Watercolor Society Show.
A few select pieces of his work will be shown.

A Blacksburg Virginia artist and retired road contractor, Nancy now concentrates on her pleasure of painting. Her work in watercolor and oil covers a variety of subject matter including landscapes, street scenes, still life, portraits and abstracts. She feels her background gives her "an insight into the lay of the land for her landscape paintings, and her love of people a base for her people painting."
Vera
Dickerson

Vera's home is in Troutdale, Virginia but it is her travels through Scotland, Wales, Ireland, England and the New England coast that have inspired her show entitled, "Travels from The Heart." Her watermedia and oil paintings, both realistic and abstract, are based on both photographic and remembered images from her journeys.
